These terms cover your use of RackCut, a web app that imports a lifting video, trims it to the working set on your device, and lets you export the result. By using RackCut you agree to what’s below. This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice.
Using RackCut
RackCut is provided for your personal use in trimming and exporting your own lifting videos. You agree to use it lawfully and not to misuse the service — for example by attempting to disrupt it, reverse its paid features, or use it to process content you don’t have the right to use. No account is required to use the free trimmer.
Your content
You keep all rights to the videos you import and the clips you export. In the free trimmer, everything is processed on your device, so we do not receive or store your footage. In Rack-Cut Coaching, the clips you choose to send are received and stored as described in our Privacy Policy. Either way, we do not claim any rights to your footage. You are responsible for the videos you choose to import and for how you use the clips you create.
Rack-Cut Coaching
Rack-Cut Coaching is an optional, invite-only service where a coach programs your training and reviews the clips you send them. It is separate from the free trimmer, and extra terms apply when you use it:
Adults only. You must be 18 or older to take part, as an athlete or as a coach. A coach who invites an athlete confirms that athlete is an adult; we may end any account we believe belongs to a minor.
Between you and your coach. The training, feedback, and any advice exchanged through Coaching are between you and your coach. Rack-Cut provides the tools; it does not program your training, does not supervise your coach, and is not responsible for coaching decisions or advice. Train within your own limits and seek medical advice where appropriate.
What you send. You keep all rights to the clips you submit. You grant your coach, and Rack-Cut as the service that stores and delivers them, only what is needed to show your clips to that coach and run the service. You are responsible for having the right to submit what you send. Clips and reviews are handled and deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
Leaving. You can stop using Coaching and delete your clips at any time. To end a coaching relationship, email evan@rack-cut.com. Once we end it, that coach no longer has access to what you sent them.
RackCut Pro and payments
RackCut Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks additional features. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details. Because Pro is a one-time digital unlock delivered immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable — but if something goes wrong, email us and we’ll make it right. Your Pro status is stored on your device and can be restored using the email you used at checkout.
Advertising
RackCut is free to use and supported by ads for free users, served by Google AdSense on the free trimmer pages. RackCut Pro removes all ads there. There are no ads in Rack-Cut Coaching, sign-in or the Coaching demo. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes
We work to keep RackCut available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” without warranties, and we may update, change, or discontinue features over time. Detection and trimming are automated suggestions — always review a clip before relying on it. We may update these terms; significant changes will be reflected by the date above.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, RackCut and its maintainer are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. You are responsible for deciding what content you import, export and send, and for keeping your own copies of it.
